    “The Special Olympics will be funded,” Trump told reporters as he left the White House en-route to Grand Rapids, Michigan. “I have overriden my people. We're funding the Special Olympics.”

    “I don’t want to talk about pardons now, but I can say it’s so sad on so many levels,” Trump said during an interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity.

    "Congressman Adam Schiff, who spent two years knowingly and unlawfully lying and leaking, should be forced to resign," Trump tweeted.

    On Tuesday, prosecutors announced that they were dropping all charges against Smollett and expunging his record.

    “I don’t think they’re talking about impeachment,” Trump told reporters after arriving at the Capitol for a meeting with GOP lawmakers.

    The celebrity attorney was released Monday night on a $300,000 bond.

    "Today, all criminal charges against Jussie Smollett were dropped and his record has been wiped clean of the filing for this tragic complaint against him,” attorneys Tina Glandian and Patricia Brown Holmes said in a statement.

    “The Department of Justice has determined that the district court’s judgment should be affirmed,” DoJ officials said in a filing Monday.

    In a tweet Tuesday morning, Trump struck a familiar chord, calling the media “corrupt and FAKE.”

    “Avenatti’s conduct had nothing to do with zealous advocacy for a client or any other kind of legal work," the U.S. State Attorney in the Southern District of New York said.
