"When you see how well it works for Donald Trump, do you think to yourself, oh maybe I should be more racist?” Galifianakis says to Clinton.
WASHINGTON (Talk Media News) — Hillary Clinton took her campaign to the internet to reach young voters by making an appearance on “Between Two Ferns” with Zach Galifianakis on Thursday.
Galifianakis, who was tackled by Secret Service agents in an attempt to “scare” Clinton at the start of the interview, asked the former secretary of state what it would mean “to be the first girl president” among a list of other topics.
“You know that Zach, those are really out of date questions. You need to get out more,” Clinton said in response to Galifianakis’s questions about her gender.
On the topic of Donald Trump, Galifianakis was dry and straight to the point with his veiled swipe at the Republican nominee.
“When you see how well it works for Donald Trump, do you think to yourself, oh maybe I should be more racist?” Galifianakis quips to Clinton in the classic tone the comedian has become known for.
“I really regret doing this,” Clinton says towards the end of the interview.
Thursday was hardly the first time the online show had a marquee guest, however.
Back in 2014, President Obama made an appearance on the show that went viral in a largely successful effort to reach out to young Americans to encourage them to sign up for health insurance.
