Trump holds razor-thin lead in Florida, poll shows

Polling has consistently shown a tight race in the state as Election Day gets closer, and not just in Florida, but across the country.

WASHINGTON (Talk Media News) — Donald Trump holds a narrow lead over Hillary Clinton in the all-important state of Florida, a new poll released Thursday shows.

According to the Suffolk University poll, Trump holds a one point lead by a margin of 45-44 percent, with 3 percent backing Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson and 1 percent supporting Green Party’s Jill Stein.

Despite Trump’s narrow lead, 47 percent of respondents said they believed Clinton would be elected president this November compared to just 38 percent who said the same about Trump.

Polling has consistently shown a tight race in the state as Election Day gets closer, and not just in Florida, but across the country.

The poll was conducted among 500 likely Florida voters from Sept. 19 to Sept. 21 and holds a margin of error of plus or minus 4.4 percentage points.
