WASHINGTON– Catherine Frazier, Ted Cruz’ spokesperson, said Tuesday morning that an offensive tweet spotted on the Texas Republican Senator’s account has been “removed by staff and reported to Twitter.”

Frazier’s comment comes after Cruz’ Twitter account liked a pornographic video late Monday night.
Posts that are liked can be seen publicly.
Cruz told reporters on Capitol Hill that the account can be accessed by multiple staffers and that the like was ultimately a mistake.
Q: It wasn’t you?
CRUZ: “It was a staffing issue, and it was inadvertent, it was a mistake, it was not a deliberate action.”

While the like may not have been intentional, Cruz has been roundly mocked over the incident.
