WASHINGTON — Dennis Rodman has arrived in Singapore Monday, a trip for the eccentric basketball icon that coincides with a historic summit between U.S. President Donald Trump and North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un.

However, while Rodman has ties to both leaders, which include multiple meetings with Kim in North Korea as well as a guest spot on Trump’s former reality show, “The Apprentice,” the White House has maintained that the NBA Hall of Famer will not be participating in the meetings.
Trump himself confirmed as much during an Oval Office meeting on Thursday.
“Dennis Rodman? No,” Trump said after a reporter asked him if Rodman will be involved in the negotiations. “I like him. He’s a nice guy. No, he was not invited. But he’s a nice guy. I like him.”
Instead, Rodman will be promoting PotCoin.com while in Singapore, a site that has developed a cryptocurrency for the marijuana community.
The company has been leaning heavily into Rodman’s appearance.
