Trump takes a calm approach to Iran shooting down drone

THE WHITE HOUSE – As President Donald Trump welcomes Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to the Oval Office, the president took questions on America’s response to Iran shooting down a U.S. surveillance drone. Trump said that Iran:

(Audio: President Trump declared Thursday that Iran “made a very big mistake”)

Asked about the United States’ response, Trump didn’t take a pugilistic stand, saying:

(Audio: “Obviously, you know we’re not going to be talking too much about it. You’ll find out.”)

Pushed further on a U.S. response, Trump said:

(Audio: “I ran on getting us out of endless wars.”
